Course Focus : This course is designed to assist individuals in developing their ability to read and comprehend the English written word in academic text. Students will receive the skills necessary for building a more robust academic vocabulary, while learning to read for comprehension versus reading to translate the written word. Individual will learn to understand Purpose, Strategies, and Vocabulary Building.(21 hrs.)
